Major update on the way


The past few weeks have been exceptionally productive. We are at a stage where the entire team is working at full speed, the technical framework is looking great and as a result, adding tangible gameplay elements have gotten even faster. The Angel class is almost ready for action; see the video below to preview the Medi-Gel station and the Medi-Gel Beam Gun.

The Medi-Gel Station is able to auto heal any team mate in its proximity. The Angel class is able to place it anywhere and is able to take it back if need be.

The Medi-Gel Beam Gun is able to lock targets. The beam will bend up to a certain angle, giving you flexibility in your movements to skip enemy attacks while healing your team mates. Furthermore, when targeting an enemy, the Medi-Gel will slow down your opponents, adding extra advantages and fun for the Angel class.

The first version of the Angel class also comes with another type of healing weapon: The Plasma Medi-Gel, equipped with an embedded digital scope, it is a particularly powerful weapon for long range healing tactics.


The Angel class is the only class able to see the health status bar below her team mates names, allowing her to perform her role in the best conditions possible.


In addition to the Angel class, we’ve also refactored the weapon loadout menu to be more convenient and to improve its look. The new layout has also been designed to work well with a controler, whether it be from an Xbox 360, PS4, or Steam.


Please note that the next update will also remove the prototype weapon names, as well as the map names.


We have now also started to work on the Hacker class weapons. The first weapon added is the automatic turret, shown below. Additional unique Hacker weapons and abilities are being worked on as we speak so expect to see some really exciting content soon.



This update will be available for alpha testers within a week. It will also contain a map voting system, a new in-game news module, killing streak messages, badges, and much more (the release notes are currently 2 pages long!

    ^^ This update has been delayed for 2 weeks, and all social media seems to be quiet for PixelBeam. Really unsure about whats happening.

    I can’t speak about it at this moment but there is a good reason why there’s a delay.
    I’m quite certain everyone will be very happy about it. Just a little more patience, the wait is worth it I can assure you 😛

    Delay of 2-3 month wow.
    I would like to know why of this delay.
    Do you think this is professionalism?
